CabTec Group has new owners

At the end of December 2011, CabTec Holding AG, based in Rotkreuz, was acquired by Kowema AG through an arranged succession plan. The CabTec companies are further governed by the previous management, without any changes affecting our customers, suppliers or staff.

Alex F. Häusler, former single shareholder of CabTec Holding AG and founder of the successful enterprise, says he is pleased about this ideal solution: “This well-prepared sale of the majority of shares will ensure both business continuity and the realisation of further growth plans”.

Kowema AG, based in Wollerau, is a holding company possessing a number of pension funds. Kowema invests the capital entrusted to it by various Swiss pension funds in long-term industrial interests, basing its activity only on sound and profitable companies.

The long-term further development of the enterprise was a priority during the takeover process. This highly reliable financial background will provide a basis for realising the ambitious growth objectives and expansion in Asia with even more success.

The long-standing management team will stay on board and ensure that the tried and tested organisation, as well as all its affiliates, will be further retained.

In addition, some of the highest-level officials have acquired a financial interest in CabTec Holding AG, underscoring their trust in future business success.
Jörg Kientz, CEO of CabTec Holding AG: “It shows an important sign of our trust in the future of the CabTec Group”.
